The past year and a half has confirmed my convictions and belief in the great power of human spirit and endeavour. The accomplishments at RiverDale International School during this period have been quite significant and far too many, but pale in the face of the determined collective endeavours with which they have been accomplished.

It would not be exaggeration to say that the entire RiverDale community, without exception, has been collectively responsible for helping this great institution of learning ascend the summit of excellence.

The school management has continued to serve as a guiding light, shepherding one and all at RiverDale with care and tenacity along the path of advancement and growth. The staff have played an admirable part by imbibing, with single-minded determination and commitment, the high expectations that is inevitably associated with the vital responsibility of shaping tender hearts, minds and souls. They have responded with remarkable zeal to the call of duty by contributing, through their tireless and caring efforts, to the all-round development of the students entrusted to their care. The parents have been a constant source of encouragement and support to everyone at RiverDale helping effect essential course-corrections from time to time.

The students, the focal centre of all activities at RiverDale and the very reason for its existence, have also played their unique role by aligning themselves with the desirable conduct and application that ensures their all-round development at school. A vivid expression of an increasingly profound sense of responsibility and ownership towards their own learning and development, an enhanced ability to resist peer pressure and take morally sound decisions, and a predisposition towards cooperation and mutual support in helping one another in the fields of academics, sports and extra-curricular activities are only a few attributes that characterise our students at RiverDale today.

The manner in which the students have been responding positively to the caring and tireless efforts of their teachers and other staff fills us with the confidence that we at RiverDale are moving along the right path; it gives us the faith required for redoubling our efforts and rededicating ourselves to serving the best interests of our students; and, it fills us with the hope that RiverDale, in its own small way, will continue to enrich our society by providing it with a steady stream of morally, intellectually, socially and physically strong citizens of the future. It is with such a lofty aim that we look to the future, with every assurance of abiding success, consistent with the school’s stated Vision and Mission.
